Voices Off with Dr Jane Goodall – The Old Vic

‘Everything is connected – everyone can make a difference’ Jane Goodall

Dr. Jane Goodall, founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace, is world-renowned for her pioneering research on wild chimpanzees and her efforts today to inspire every individual to protect the environment we share – a trait she shares with Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax.

In this very special Voices Off talk, Jane will share exciting stories about her early life working at Gombe, the home of the wild chimpanzees she has been studying for almost 60 years. She’ll tell us why she left the forest she loves so much to raise awareness about problems faced by chimpanzees and the communities living in the area, and how the Jane Goodall Institute is working on key sustainable programmes to help these groups in Africa.

Jane will also discuss her global youth programme Roots & Shoots which is active in nearly 100 countries, with over 1,600 active groups in the UK alone.
