Fashion Ethical Show

Today’s report comes from The Sunrise Festival 2010

Sunrise is the UKs leading Sustainable Arts and Music Festival.

The festival aims to be a forum for this generation of social and environmental solutions, as well as being a vibrant, dynamic, medley of music and joy.

With one of the most comprehensive green policies and strategy of all music festivals in the UK, the festival provides a platform for exchanging ideas and inspiring one another,

One can take home practical information on how to minimise one’s impact on the planet and live an empowered, sustainable existence.

We were delighted to be invited to cover the festival and our first of reports from the festival features the very dynamic Sunrise Ethical Fashion show. The show demonstrates that power of local people coming together to create sustainable fashion in their community.

It is organised by Kat Ritchie and Viv Gordon who choreographs the Mean Feet Dance group. (The models) They add a new cheeky twist to the standard fashion show, showing Ethical designers, who use recycled materials, such as Amanda Chambers, Jenny McCarty and Sophie Harrison to name a few. We hear of the benefits of recycled clothing in this high end consumer world!

We hope to see The Sunrise Ethical Fashion show at the renowned London Fashion Week one day very soon – it would provide so much inspiration to designers at the top of their game!

Well done Sunrise! Thank you for having us there to enjoy your wonderful festival.
