Dame Ellen MacArthur has set up a new foundation to work with education and business to inspire people to re-think, re-design and build a sustainable future.
In 2005, Dame Ellen broke the world record for the fastest solo circumnavigation of the globe and she said that it was on that voyage, when she had to live with limited resources, that she fully understood the need for sustainability.
The Foundation seeks to provide “a framework for change through inspirational content, education programmes and communication…/” It aims to help seed the future economy with people who have the knowledge and skills to build a sustainable future”.
