There are few interviews that I have so looked forward to, and this one delivered for me! Dr De Bono’s books sat on my father’s bookshelf when I was a child. His name has been floating around in my life ever since! With this in mind, one rainy Saturday, I was invited to join him on the sofa in his fantastic study in a flat in Piccadilly! It looked like total chaos, however – I feel certain that it was as perfectly ordered as his exceptionally interesting brain! It was a privilege to be able to chat with Dr De Bono, and get his take on current affairs. If you are not familiar with the man and his work, this is is his website http://www.edwdebono.com

Imagine being born without arms. No arms to wrap around someone, no hands to experience touch, or to hold another hand with. Or what about being born without legs? Having no ability to dance, walk, run, or even stand on two feet. Now put both of those scenarios together no arms and no legs. What would you do? How would that effect your everyday life?

Meet Nick Vujicic… Born in 1982 in Melbourne, Australia, without any medical explanation or warning, Nicholas Vujicic (pronounced Voy-a-chich) came into the world with neither arms or legs. This article by the Guardian Newspaper startled PTV!

The world’s most high-profile climate change sceptic is to declare that global warming is “undoubtedly one of the chief concerns facing the world today” and “a challenge humanity must confront”, in an apparent U-turn that will give a huge boost to the embattled environmental lobby.

Bjørn Lomborg, the self-styled “sceptical environmentalist” once compared to Adolf Hitler by the UN’s climate chief, is famous for attacking climate scientists, campaigners, the media and others for exaggerating the rate of global warming and its effects on humans, and the costly waste of policies to stop the problem.

it wasn’t all activism at COP15, we connected with Steven Glaser our intrepid partner fron www.eco-rally.org to test Honda’s new offering the Clarity. It runs entirely on HYDROGEN, has a range of about 285 miles, and emits only WATER, NOT CO2! This is the future of motoring people! As a bonus, it also LOOKS really cool!

WASHINGTON — Israeli and Palestinian negotiators cleared the first hurdle on Thursday in their elusive quest for Middle East peace: they agreed to keep talking, two weeks from now in Egypt.

But on a richly choreographed day of diplomacy, filled with solemn promises to tackle the tough issues dividing them, the Israeli and Palestinian leaders did not confront the one issue that could sink these talks in three weeks: whether Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will extend a moratorium on the construction of Jewish settlements in the West Bank.

Officials of the US based Worldwatch Institute have been talking about the plight of African farmers throughout their tour of the sub-Saharan Africa.

Worldwatch Institute’s Sustainable Agriculture Program highlights the benefits to farmers, consumers and ecosystems that can flow from food systems that are flexible enough to deal with shifting weather patterns, productive enough to meet the needs of expanding populations, and accessible enough to support rural communities.

Speaking to Danielle Nierenberg, the Senior Researcher for Worldwatch Institute, said they arrived in The Gambia last week for a two-week mission to talk to farmers and many others on the ways poor farmers can increase their yield.
