Cutting emissions from forest use, and establishing sustainable forestry management – that’s what countries and corporations have pledged to do at the COP23 UN Climate Change Conference in Bonn. Sustaining and increasing forests is vital to get on track in time to meet the Paris Climate Change Agreement’s goal, which is to keep the average global temperature rise well below 2 degrees Celsius and as close to 1.5 degrees as possible.
